Golf in Alaska is a genuine novelty: summer rounds played under a sun that barely sets. The season is short — roughly May through September — but courses around Anchorage, Fairbanks and the Kenai Peninsula make the most of it, with midnight-sun tournaments and scenery no lower-48 course can match. Don't expect manicured resort golf; do expect moose on the fairway stories that are probably true.
